Rotary and Rotaract joins Pawikan Festival 2014

Morong, Bataan - 14th Pawikan Festival held last November 30, 2014 is an annual event that teaches and involves not only the youth but the whole province about the importance of saving and conservation of sea turtles and environmental awareness particularly on the marine ecosystem as well.

The Provincial Government of Bataan and The Provincial Tourism Office in cooperation with the Bataan Peninsula Tourism Council Foundation Inc., City and Municipal Councils, Local Government Unit, Bantay Pawikan Inc., DepED Bataan and the City of Balanga as well as DENR Bataan spearheaded this activity. "Walk for a cause" Paddle Painting Contest and Amazing Race were
among activities that the youth and visitors enjoyed. One of the highlights of the event is the Street Dancing Competition participated by the different towns in Bataan, other activities includes Nature's Camp and Night Patrolling for the students and enthusiasts.

Rotarian Kristina Cundangan together with Rotaract Club of Limay joined this activity. Rotaractors build a booth and conduct games that visitors from other places and within Bataan enjoyed. It was a fun filled activity and promotes knowledge about Pawikans.
