BE ONE, STOP MEASLES AND POLIO

Balanga City, Bataan - The Provincial Health office headed by Dr. Rosanna Buccahan spearheaded the launching of Measles Rubella and Oral Polio Vaccine Mass Immunization after the flag raising ceremony at the capitol compound this morning.  Governor Albert S. Garcia lead the ceremonial vaccination by giving oral polio vaccine to 2 kids.

All vaccinations are safe, effective and FREE! Receiving repeated doses of the vaccines do not pose any danger to your child. 2 drops of oral polio vaccine are give  to children from 0-5 years old and  measles-rubella vaccine to 9mo-5yrs old, this is according to DOH.

This is a nationwide activity which will cover the whole month of  September. The campaign of the Department of Health aims to continue to have a polio free Philippines and encourage the parents to bring their children age 0-5 years old to health centers or offices and avail the free vaccination. Heath workers will also have a house to house visit to give immunization. Finger-marking through indelible ink of the child will be used to confirm if a child has been vaccinated.

As one of the Rotary's program END Polio Now, the Rotary clubs of Mariveles-Ecozone Pres. Art Maximo, Orion with Pres Skip Robertson and some members, Limay's President Lira Feliciano and Dr. Eduardo dela Crina of RC Orani participated and witnessed the launching of together with the members of the Philippine National Police headed by PO2 Fernando Bose of the 3rd Regional Public Safety Batallion. 

We are ONE with this undertaking and together let us continue to eradicate polio and measles in our country.
