The Rotary Club of Limay D3790 in partnership with Rotary Club of ACCRA Ring Road Central,
Ghana, Africa District 9102 started their first day of feeding program last August 1, 2016 at Bliss
Elementary School, Limay, Bataan.
The students and teachers prepared a Nutrition Day Program where they sang, danced, and
performed to promote the importance of good nutrition.
The signing of Memorandum of Agreement between RC Limay and Bliss Elementary School took
place during the same event.
The selected students enjoyed a hot bowl of porridge with hard boiled eggs, perfect to warm their
tummies during that rainy day.
Before that the parents of the children who are the beneficiaries of the feeding program were oriented last
July 29, 2016 at Bliss Elementary School.
They were informed about how their children were chosen, how they will be fed, and how the
parents can help us in tracking the improvement on the nutrition and health of their children.
Our club also shared Rotary information to the teachers and parents.
During the orientation, the parents committed that they will take turns in preparing and cooking the
food that will be given to the students. They will follow the menu that Rotary Club of Limay has
planned for them.
The parents were also advised to make sure that their children will not miss classes so they can
get most of the feeding program.
